The concept of Face Lace emerged from a professional need and artistic challenge to create elaborate makeup designs which could be applied quickly, look precise and stay perfect until they came off. Phyllis began research in 2010 of what was needed to make reliable self-adhesive designs. Phyllis taught herself to use software and machinery for the design production, and explored many adhesive options until finding the best one for safety and endurance.

After launching in 2012, Face Lace became a favourite product among makeup artists and members of the general public wanting dramatic, but fool-proof, makeup results quickly. It has been used for quick changes on many  popular TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing, X Factor, and The Voice. It has also been relied upon for many films such as Gaga’s “A Star is born”, Award winning “The Favourite”, and Tim Burton’s “Dumbo”.  Face Lace’s Cult status was further established  when used by Make-up Artist Donni Davy  on the hit series “Euphoria”.  Show-stopping entertainers such as Lady Gaga, Missy Elliot, Katy Perry, Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, Dita Von Teese, Adam Lambert and many more love wearing Face Lace. Ten years after Face Lace pioneered Stick-on Makeup art, there have been many copyists, but Face Lace remains the innovator of this ever- growing category. Face Lace has done Private Label collections for Haus Labs and Donni Davy.
